“This place, and its owners, are beyond remarkable. Enveloped in towering pines and perched perfectly above a pristine mountain river, this expertly decorated, exceptionally well-stocked cabin will astound you while simultaneously stripping away the stresses of modern life. Our family of four (parents and two elementary-aged children) loved our stay here. Floating the river, fishing, and gathering on “The Frame” deck was exactly the type of relaxing reset we sought. While we rarely wanted to leave this peaceful oasis, when we did, all the conveniences of Ellijay were just minutes away. I’d be remiss not to mention how the owners set themselves apart just as their property does. Just prior to arrival, a freak storm cut power to the cabin and surrounding areas. The owners and their property manager took quick action and set us up at a nearby rental cabin until power was restored the next morning. The alternate cabin needed to be cleaned from a prior stay, so the owners bought our family dinner while we waited to check in. There are excellent cabins and there are excellent cabins with excellent hosts. You get both here. We heartily recommend The Cartecay Frame!” - July 2026

“We were extremely impressed with the house!! The house was so clean and well stocked with everything you need. It was on a gorgeous spot on the river. It was amazing to walk down the street 10 minutes with a tube and float back to the house on the river! We loved that! There were great places for our kids to play in the back on the river and we felt very safe allowing them to play there. That was a huge selling point for us also. Jordan was very quick to respond when I had a few questions for and I appreciated her communication very much! We had a wonderful time and loved the house so much! “Mountain cabin with boutique hotel feel. It was perfect. High quality cookware, linens, and furnishings made it feel cozy. We went with young children ranging from 1 year to 7. The outdoor space with couches, tv, and green egg allowed us to eat and cook most meals outside. With a short walk you can place a tube in the river upstream near blackberry falls and then float right to the cabin. The town itself was very welcoming and down to earth. Perfect spot to have a balance between relaxing and doing little adventures, like Amicalola Falls, orchards, wineries, kids playgrounds, and walking about the downtown area. While we were there, we liked it so much that we decided we need to return in the winter. I’m sure it changes but at the time we went the river access has a nice rock “landing” and also a sand area where the kids could easily play in the river. Prior to coming to The Frame we stayed in Blue Ridge for a couple of days, and the whole family said hands down Ellijay was better” - June 2026

“This was our 2nd stay...this time in warmer weather. We did the short tube to the house and then the longer 2+ hour river tubing experience. Our family enjoyed the relaxing outside sitting area with TV for the World Cup, wild life - including river otters, deer, and a raccoon, and the comfortable home with room for all 6 adults and one toddler. Everything we needed was right there! This is a special spot to renew.” - August 2026
